Destruction of 10 apartments in Odesa costs the environment 43 million

Specialists of the State Environmental Inspectorate of the Southwestern District have calculated the environmental damage caused by the shelling of Odesa on July 19.
According to the inspectorate's press service, the specialists examined the area affected by the shelling.
The area of contamination amounted to 660 square meters, and the amount of damage caused by the land contamination was estimated at more than UAH 43 million. All the information collected was transferred to the Operational Headquarters of the State Environmental Inspectorate of Ukraine to be included in the unified register of damage caused by armed aggression.
On the night of July 19, the armed forces of the Russian Federation attacked Odesa with attack drones. It has been preliminarily established that the enemy used more than 20 unmanned aerial vehicles. As a result of the attack, a woman was killed, six other local residents were injured of varying severity and are being treated. Information about other possible victims is being clarified.
At least eight residential buildings were damaged, in one of which almost ten apartments were destroyed to the ground. The premises of a medical laboratory, shops, a beauty salon, catering establishments and cars of the townspeople were also destroyed. On the night of July 19, the building of the Primary Health Care Center in Khadzhibey district was also damaged as a result of a Russian drone attack on Odesa.
Odesa regularly suffers from shelling. The last time the Palace of Sports was damaged. Three people were injured. A multi-storey residential building was damaged as a result of shelling - firefighters extinguished the fire on the top floor. A 9-story residential building was also damaged, where rescuers extinguished the fire on the fourth floor. In addition, a warehouse building and cars caught fire.
