Crimean University to train managers for the region under occupation

The occupation 'Center for the Development of Competencies of Civil Servants of the Republic of Crimea', which operates on the basis of the 'Crimean Engineering and Pedagogical University named after Fevzi Yakubov', has concluded a so-called 'strategic agreement' with the Faculty of Public Administration of the Lomonosov Moscow State University.

This Center operates on the basis of the "Crimean Engineering and Pedagogical University named after Fevzi Yakubov" and aims to train management personnel for the needs of the Russian administration.
This agreement is aimed at strengthening the integration of the Crimean educational space and accelerating the training of management personnel to ensure the operation of the Russian state machine in the occupied territory. Cooperation with Moscow State University is another step towards standardizing the training of local officials in accordance with the requirements of the Russian Federation.
As stated, the partnership envisages launching retraining programs, conducting joint research, and organizing expert platforms. It is expected that an important part of the cooperation will be academic exchange involving Moscow State University professors to work directly in the occupied Crimea. The agreement also provides for the organization of joint conferences, seminars and working groups, which indicates the deep integration of Crimean educational structures into the Russian governance system.
Earlier, under the public prosecution of the Kherson Regional and Oleshky District Prosecutor's Offices, the former director of a lyceum was found guilty of collaboration and aiding the aggressor state (Part 3 of Article 111-1, Part 1 of Article 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The court sentenced the former director to 12 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property. Additionally, she was deprived of the right to hold positions related to state power, local self-government and organizational and administrative functions for a period of 15 years.
Prosecutors proved that during the temporary occupation of the village of Bilozerka (Kherson region), the convicted person cooperated by taking thepseudo-director's position of the seized lyceum in July 2022, which she renamed Bilozerka School No. 1 named after Pechersky.
