The Ministry of Communities and Territories Development reported that due to a Russian attack near the village of Mayaki, traffic on the Odesa-Reni highway has been temporarily suspended.

As explained by the ministry, this means that traffic to checkpoints and to settlements in the western part of the Odesa region is currently not being carried out.

In particular, as of the evening of December 20, traffic was blocked to the following checkpoints:

  • "Palanka - Mayaki - Udobne;
  • "Reni - Dzhurdzhuleshty;
  • "Tabaki - Myrne;
  • "Vynohradivka - Vulcanesti;
  • "Maloyaroslavets - Chadyr-Lunga 1;
  • "August - Bessarabianska";
  • "Novi Troiany - Chadyr-Lunga";
  • "Starokozache - Tudora;
  • "Orlivka - Isakcha.

Therefore, they are currently available for trucks and buses that need to cross the border: "Mamalyha-Kryva, Sokyryany-Oknytsia, Rososhany-Brychen, Mohyliv-Podilskyi-Otach - checkpoints located in Chernivtsi and Vinnytsia regions. At these checkpoints, the eCheckpoint system operates for both trucks and buses leaving Ukraine.

Trucks that were planning to cross the border through the checkpoints in Odesa region and are being redirected to alternative checkpoints need to

  • make changes to the customs declaration regarding the checkpoint;
  • register in the eCheck system for the required checkpoint.

Carriers of passengers traveling to Moldova should select the appropriate checkpoint when registering in the eCheckpoint. In the absence of a permit for a regular route through these checkpoints, a one-time permit or an Interbus logbook can be used for registration.
