Beryslav police officers helped an elderly man with a suspected stroke from the frontline Mylivka community get to a medical facility and took a man and a woman wounded by a Russian drone attack out of Beryslav under fire.

According to the Kherson regional police, the other day, officers of the patrol police response sector of the Beryslav district department took an elderly man who needed urgent hospitalization from the coastal Dudchany. Before that, a paramedic had asked the police to urgently evacuate a 70-year-old local resident with a suspected stroke and a need for emergency medical care. According to his daughter, the man had been feeling unwell for a long time, unable to move independently, and paralyzed.

"Law enforcement officers were able to successfully deliver the evacuee to a safe place where medical workers were already waiting for them," the statement said.

The local police department also received a request from doctors to evacuate a 73-year-old man and a 68-year-old woman who had been injured in a Russian drone attack. Both victims had contusions and shrapnel wounds to their upper and lower extremities. Due to the constant attacks of enemy drones on residential areas of the city, ambulances are unable to reach people and provide them with the necessary medical care. Therefore, police evacuation teams remain the last hope for rescue.

"The police took the woman and the man to a stabilization center and handed them over to doctors," the police said.

In January, during the evacuation of a sick 60-year-old resident of frontline Odradokamyanka, a police armored vehicle hit an anti-personnel mine with special protective equipment. Fortunately, no one in the vehicle was injured as a result of the explosion. Also, while transporting wounded civilians from Antonivka , patrol police officers in their official car hit an anti-personnel mine. A 32-year-old patrol policeman was injured. Prior to that, volunteers and representatives of the Kherson City Military Administration evacuated 47 people from Antonivka and other hotspots of the community. One of the volunteers was injured as a result of an explosive drop from an enemy drone. According to Roman Mrochko, the head of Kherson MCA, volunteers and MCA employees involved in the evacuation of people from under fire risk their own lives and lose their health to get those who ignored calls to evacuate until the last moment.
