32 thousand families left without electricity in Odesa region

As a result of the Russian air attack on Odesa region, 32,500 families, mostly in the south of the region, were left without electricity.
This was reported by the press service of DTEK Odesa Power Grids.
The company assessed the damage as significant and noted that repair work would take a long time to bring the equipment back into working order. As of now, almost 4,000 customers of the power company have switched to backup schemes.
Meanwhile, the operational headquarters of the Izmail District State Administration held a meeting with representatives of DTEK and the State Emergency Service. As a result of the attack, the city of Izmail and the village of Broska have partially lost power. Critical infrastructure, life-support facilities and warning systems are running on backup power. Water supply, sewage and heat supply are provided by generators. Medical and social security facilities are operating as usual, also on backup power. The city of Izmail and the village of Broska are expected to be connected to the power supply by 12:00 on November 17.
On the night of November 17, the Russian army again massively attacked Odesa region with attack drones. Despite the work of air defense, there were consequences for the energy and port infrastructure. Several civilian vessels were damaged during the attack.
Schools in Izmail will work remotely. The city is opening "invincibility points" - stationary ones that will work until the evening and mobile ones that will work around the clock near dormitories with electric heating.
On the night of November 17, the enemy attacked with two Iskander-M ballistic missiles and 128 Shahed, Gerbera, and other types of attack drones. According to preliminary data, as of 9:00 a.m., air defense neutralized 91 enemy UAVs. At the same time, 32 attack drones were recorded at 15 locations, as well as two ballistic missiles at two locations.
