War crimes in Kherson region: new victims among civilians

The prosecutor's office has launched an investigation into war crimes after the shelling of Bilozerka and Kherson, which resulted in casualties.
This was reported by the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office.
On December 2, 2024, at about 22:00, the Russian military fired artillery at the Dniprovskyi district of Kherson. A 75-year-old woman was killed when a shell hit a private house.
The next day, on December 3, at 13:20, the enemy opened fire on the village of Bilozerka, Kherson district. This shelling killed a 44-year-old man and wounded two men aged 45 and 48.
Pre-trial investigations into these facts have been initiated into war crimes related to premeditated murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The prosecutor's office emphasized that investigators continue to collect evidence of crimes committed by Russian military personnel and take the necessary measures to document these cases.
Earlier, Russian troops shelled residential areas of the region's settlements, vandalized two buses and a private car. As a result of Russian aggression, 3 people were killed and 13 others were injured.
Russian occupants also attacked another bus with a drone in the village of Inzhenerne, Kherson district. Two people were injured. At least 11 civilian objects were damaged, including private and apartment buildings, cars, two buses, etc.
On December 1, a volunteer Rimma Baranenko was killed in Kherson. She was among the passengers on a bus that Russian terrorists dropped explosives from a drone in the morning.
And in the temporarily occupied Nova Kakhovka, Kherson region, the Russian army shelled a public transport stop. The prosecutor's office launched a pre-trial investigation into the violation of the laws and customs of war.
