The Malynovskyi District Court of Odesa approved a plea agreement between the prosecutor of the Odesa Regional Prosecutor's Office and an Odesa resident on obstructing the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations.
As stated in the court's decision, the accused worked as a driver for the City Roads utility company and in May 2024 posted videos on tik-tok that he had shot himself and which showed the fact and place of mobilization activities by employees.
This publication was viewed by more than 500 users, and later he made the same video again. Having been interrogated in court, the accused pleaded guilty to the criminal offense charged and fully confirmed the circumstances of the crime. The court checked the testimony of the accused for reliability and found it to be fully consistent with the materials of the criminal proceedings. He asked to approve the agreement concluded between him and the prosecutor, and he agreed with the sentence specified in the agreement.
He was sentenced to five years in prison, but the actual term was replaced by a probationary period of one year.
During this year, the convict will have to:
- periodically report for registration to the authorized probation authority;
- notify the authorized probation body of any change of place of residence, work or study;
- not to travel outside Ukraine without the consent of the authorized probation authority.
In September, the Primorskyi Court of Odesa approved a plea agreement between the prosecutor and a native of Chernihivka village in the Primorskyi Krai of the Russian Federation. In February 2024, the convict sent photos and information about the work of employees of the territorial recruitment center in Starobazarnyi Square and Shevchenko Park to various contacts via Telegram several times.
In June, the Security Service of Ukraine reported the elimination of a network of bloggers in Odesa who acted in the interests of Russian special services and tried to disrupt mobilization and leaked the location of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the city.
