On the night of October 8, air defense forces in the Mykolaiv region once again shot down attack drones sent by the Russians across Ukraine.

According to the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Air Defense Command, Vitaliy Kim, the air force successfully destroyed three Shahed 131/136 drones.

In addition, according to information from the district military administrations and the operational command "South," there were no attacks in the Mykolaiv region.

Earlier, on the night of October 7, air defense forces destroyed one Shahed-136/131 UAV.

Meanwhile, in Odesa region, Russia attacked the second civilian vessel in the ports. In particular, a ballistic missile damaged the Palau-flagged OPTIMA vessel. The Russian attack killed one person. Five other foreign nationals, crew members, were injured. They are currently receiving medical care.

It has also become known that the occupiers launched an air strike on Kherson, and children are among the victims - proceedings have been initiated. It happened around 10:40. The enemy fired four guided aerial bombs at the regional center, which hit civilian objects. The blast waves damaged at least six high-rise buildings.

On the night of October 3, the Russians attacked the energy infrastructure in the Ivanivska community of Berezivskyi district of Odesa region.

On the night of October 2, the Izmail district of Odesa region became the target of the occupiers. The enemy sent attack drones there. Numerous explosions were heard in the region. The Ukrainian air defense system was engaged in combat operations. Due to the attack, the Orlivka checkpoint in Odesa region temporarily suspended its passage operations. The invader targeted the port and border infrastructure. Two truck drivers were wounded in the attack, one of them a Turkish citizen. The injured were hospitalized, their condition is assessed as moderate, and doctors are providing the necessary assistance.
