The Ministry of Internal Affairs opened the first service center in Odesa region that will work during the alert

The first service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Odesa region to provide services during air alert opened in the village of Kryzhanivka near Odesa on September 4, and the second one will open in two months in Chornomorsk.

Vadym Gulko, head of the Ministry's regional service center in Odesa, Mykolaiv and Kherson regions, told Intent that the center in Chornomorsk will also have a shelter where people can hide and receive services during an air raid. In fact, the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs No. 5142 has moved to this address.

Theshelter at the center in Kryzhanivka is the simplest. It is a part of the basement of a local cafe where workplaces for employees have been set up. The center also has a children's corner and has increased the number of workplaces from 12, as it was in the old center, to 16.

It is expected that the service center will be able to provide up to 250 administrative services during the day, while the old one could provide 140.

The renovated center covers an area of 387 square meters, compared to 210 in the old building, and the shelter has 143 square meters. It has 8 workplaces and can accommodate up to 100 people.

In total, there are 15 such centers in Ukraine, and the Odesa one is the sixteenth.

The following services are available at the service center: vehicle registration, exchange or renewal of driver's licenses, issuance of an international driver's license, user assignment, and issuance of a permit for the transportation of dangerous goods.

Currently, the procedure for action in the event of an air raid is as follows: citizens should leave the premises of the MIA service center as soon as possible, go to the nearest shelter and stay there until official sources inform them that the air raid has been lifted.

At the same time, employees of the MIA service center should take measures to save the data on their personal computers that are open for the provision of the service and turn off the computer. Ensure the safety of personal electronic identification devices and documents in use.

The responsible person should make sure that the presence of citizens in the premises of the MIA service center is minimized and close the windows, turn off electrical appliances, turn off the water, leave the premises and lock the door. Go to the nearest shelter. If it is not possible to go to a shelter, you should stay in the safest place in the building, away from windows, preferably behind two walls.
