Under the procedural supervision of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, an indictment against a local resident on the fact of aiding the aggressor state was sent to court.
This was reported by the press service of the department.
The prosecutor's office reports that the investigation found that the accused supported the actions and decisions of the occupation authorities during the occupation of Kherson. He took the position of "deputy chairman of the public council" created under the occupation administration of the region.
He was entrusted with responsibilities related to the formation of a positive image of the occupiers, their actions and decisions in society. Through Russian-controlled media, he promoted narratives about the need to hold a"referendum" and the region's accession to the Russian Federation. He also initiated this issue with the occupation administration.
During a public event held in the capital of the aggressor country to sign an agreement on the region's accession to Russia, the suspect gave an interview to propaganda media in which he supported illegal actions.
The special pre-trial investigation was conducted by the SBU in Kherson region.
On October 9, Intent wrote that the investigation against the so-called "head of the Skadovsk municipal district" was completed. The investigation established that in September 2023, the accused took part in illegal elections to the "council of deputies of the Skadovsk municipal district" from the United Russia political party. As a result of the "expression of will", he received a "mandate of deputy of the first convocation". In November 2023, he filed his candidacy for election as the "head of the Skadovsk municipal district". In his pseudo-position, the man approved the composition of the personnel commission of the "district", the rules of improvement, regulations on the creation, reorganization or liquidation of enterprises, the distribution of revenues to the "budget", etc.
Earlier it was reported that a resident of Kherson region, who became the "director" of a medical college under the occupiers, was sentenced to 12 years in prison. It was proved in court that in August 2022, the woman collaborated with the enemy and took the position of the so-called "director" of the Genichesk Medical College, which was seized by representatives of the aggressor country. The protege of the occupation authorities began to implement Russian educational standards.
