Russian security forces said that they detained two people on suspicion of blowing up the car of Captain Valery Trankovsky, 1st Rank of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, in Sevastopol on November 13.
This was reported by Krym.Realii.
"Two residents of the peninsula who are directly involved in the commission of a terrorist act on the instructions of the Security Service of Ukraine have been identified. These are a 38-year-old resident of Sevastopol and a 47-year-old resident of Yalta," the media quoted the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
The Russian security forces claim that the woman "was conducting surveillance of the serviceman in order to establish and record addresses, routes of movement, daily routine, and vehicles used." The man, "having made an improvised explosive device and installed it under the bottom of the car," allegedly detonated it.
It is also reported that the detainees were arrested by the Russian-controlled Kyiv District Court of Simferopol for two months.
Valeriy Trankovskiy is a 47-year-old captain, a graduate of the Kuznetsov Naval Academy in St. Petersburg. In particular, he shelled Vinnytsia with Kalibrami in July 2022. Then 29 civilians were killed. Odesa and other peaceful cities were also repeatedly shelled on Trankovskyi's orders, killing many civilians.
"It is symbolic that the Russian war criminal, who has the blood of dozens of peaceful Ukrainians on his hands, ended his inglorious life on Taras Shevchenko Street in Sevastopol. It is only a matter of time before he will be punished for his crimes ," an SBU source emphasized.
Valery Trankovsky's car was blown up in the morning of November 13. The explosives were fixed on the bottom of the car on the driver's side. It was detonated remotely when the occupiers' chief of staff was moving in the traffic on Taras Shevchenko Street. The explosion blew off both his legs. Eyewitnesses say that the explosion was so powerful that the yard opposite was covered with debris. According to them, a hole was formed under the bottom of the car, which may indicate an improved explosive device.
