Russian army attacks Odesa region with missiles from Tu-22M3 aircraft

On the night of September 12, Zmeinyi Island in Odesa region became a target for Russian invaders again.

This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Thus, two X-22/32 cruise missiles from Tu-22M3 aircraft were fired from the airspace over the Black Sea.

The air alert in Odesa region was announced twice: first at 23:01. The Air Force Command reported a missile threat from the south. The ceasefire was announced at 23:30. And 25 minutes later, at 23:54, they informed about missiles fired at Odesa from the Black Sea. The all-clear was given at 00:09.

The military did not report on the consequences of the attack.

In total, on the night of September 12, the Russian occupiers launched 69 air targets, including missiles and UAVs, at the territory of Ukraine. Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed 44 drones.

As of 09:00, the Air Force's radio engineering troops recorded 69 enemy air targets.

The occupants fired two Iskander-M ballistic missiles from Kursk region and one X-59/69 guided missile from Bryansk region at Chernihiv region. The enemy also launched two X-22/32 cruise missiles from Tu-22M3 aircraft and 64 Shahed attack UAVs.

As a result of the air battle, 44 attack drones were shot down. Three enemy drones flew back to Russia, and four more were lost in Ukraine. As of 09:00, four attack UAVs remain in the airspace of Ukraine, and combat operations are underway.

On the night of September 11, Russian occupation forces fired six X-31P anti-radar missiles from tactical aircraft in the direction of Zmiinyi Island.

The day before, on the night of September 10, Russian troops also attacked Zmiinyi using an X-31 guided missile.

In the Black Sea, Ukrainian reconnaissance men destroyed an enemy Su-30SM fighter jet. It was shot down using a man-portable air defense system (MANPADS).
