Two residents of the Kherson region who serve the enemy in the occupation police have been suspected

This was reported by the press service of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office.

The report states that under the procedural guidance of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, two citizens were served with a notice of suspicion of voluntarily holding positions in illegal law enforcement agencies established in the temporarily occupied territory (Part 7 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, during the temporary occupation of Kherson, the suspects went to serve the enemy in a pseudo-law enforcement agency - the "Main Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Kherson region".

The occupiers appointed the man to serve as an "inspector of the department of district police inspectors of the Suvorov city administration". The woman became the "acting police commandant of the Korabela city administration". They ensure the implementation of orders from higher authorities, promote the establishment and functioning of the law enforcement system of the aggressor state in the temporarily occupied territories of Kherson region.

The pre-trial investigation is conducted by the SBU investigators in Kherson region.

Earlier it was reported that a law enforcement officer will be brought to court in Kherson region for participating in the organization and conduct of a pseudo-referendum. The investigation established that in September 2022, the accused took part in organizing and conducting a pseudo-referendum on secession from Ukraine and accession of the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson region to Russia. The defendant, holding the position of "head of security" at a seized agricultural enterprise in the Bilozerska community, agitated employees to participate in the "vote". In case of refusal, he threatened them with non-payment of salaries. He also organized the movement and arrangement of the so-called "mobile polling station" on the territory of the enterprise.
