Under the procedural supervision of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, a resident of the region was served a notice of suspicion of collaboration (Part 2 of Article 28, Part 5 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
This was reported by the press service of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office.
A custody was chosen as a measure of restraint against the man. According to the investigation, in September 2022, the suspect joined one of the so-called "precinct election commissions" operating in Kherson.
The man worked at the polling station, issued "ballots", checked the lists of "voters". He also offered local residents to participate in the pseudo-referendum.
The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the SBU in Kherson region.
As a reminder, on October 11, the head of the occupation administration of Henichesk was sentenced to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property. He was also deprived of the right to hold positions in state authorities, management and local self-government for a period of 15 years.
Thus, prosecutors proved in court that in August 2022 the convicted woman cooperated with the enemy and voluntarily headed the illegally created "Genichesk Military-Civilian Administration of Kherson Region". In her pseudo-position, the woman performed organizational, administrative and economic functions: organized the work of the occupation administration, appointed and dismissed employees, established interaction with the occupation authorities, pseudo-law enforcement agencies and the armed forces of the Russian Federation, etc.
On the same day, a resident of Kherson region was sentenced to 8 years in prison with confiscation of property for participating in the organization and conduct of the so-called "referendum." It was proved that in September 2022, the convict participated in the activities of the so-called "election commission" created by the occupation authorities to hold a pseudo-referendum on secession from Ukraine and the accession of the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson region to Russia. As a member of the illegal commission, he went to the homes of residents of Tryfonivka village, Beryslav district, urging them to vote in favor of the aggressor country, issued "ballots" and kept records of those who voted.
