Dmitry Golenkov, a pilot of the 52nd Heavy Bomber Regiment of the Russian Aerospace Forces, based at the Shaikovka airfield in the Kaluga region and armed with Tu-22M3 bombers, was killed in Russia.

This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, according to the Center for Public Investigations.

The chief of staff of a Russian aviation squadron was found dead in a village near Bryansk. Golenkov's body was found with multiple head injuries, probably caused by a hammer.

The GUR notes that Golenkov was involved in missile attacks on Ukrainian civilian targets, including the Amstor shopping center in Kremenchuk, Poltava region. At the time of the attack on June 27, 2022, about 1,000 people were in the shopping center. As a result of the war crime, 22 people were killed and dozens were injured.

"Golenkov is also responsible for a missile attack on a residential building in Dnipro on January 14, 2023, when 46 Ukrainian civilians, including 6 children, were killed," the intelligence service said.

During the investigation of the terrorist attack in Serhiivka, Odesa region, the CIU found that Golenkov was involved in the murders of Ukrainians on July 1, 2022. Back then, three X-22 missiles covered the distance from the launch site to the target in just a few minutes. As a result, the Goji recreation center was completely destroyed and a nine-story residential building was heavily damaged. The worst part is that 22 civilians were killed and 39 wounded.

The Prosecutor General's Office responded to our inquiry by saying that the investigation of the shelling in Serhiivka is being carried out by the Security Service of Ukraine. So far, the commander of the 52nd Heavy Bomber Regiment of the Long-Range Aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces, Colonel Oleg Tymoshin, has been notified of suspicion for violating the laws and customs of war by a group of individuals.

In January 2023, the Security Service of Ukraine named a number of names belonging to the command staff of the 52nd Bomber Regiment, military unit 33310. Among them are the commander of the aviation detachment Oleksiy Ivanenko, the squadron's chief of staff Dmytro Holenkov, navigators Denys Hryhoriev and Dinar Nazyrov, and aviation weapons engineer Yevhen Potseluev.
