Two-thirds of Ukraine's successful attacks on Russian naval vessels in the Black and Azov Seas have occurred over the past year.
This was reported by the UK Ministry of Defense on Twitter.
The post notes that open source reports indicate that between February 2022 and June 2024, Ukrainian forces damaged or destroyed 26 ships of the aggressor country's navy operating in the Black Sea region.
According to British intelligence, the attacks took place in the northern region of the Black Sea and in the Sea of Azov.

"Over the past year, there has been an increase in the frequency and level of damage from attacks in the Crimean peninsula, with almost two-thirds of the strikes occurring during this period," the British Ministry of Defense added.
Earlier it was reported that it became known which drone sank more of the occupiers' fleet in Crimea. Thus, the Ukrainian Magura V5 drone destroyed the most Russian ships during the full-scale aggression. Thus, scientists have analyzed the impact of the use of unmanned maritime drones on the security situation in the Black Sea region and identified the most effective maritime drone. According to the study, in the Russian-Ukrainian war, Ukrainian naval drones hit 22 warships, eight of which were destroyed. Among them, Mykola and Mamai drones hit two ships each, Sea Baby hit four ships, and Magura V5 hit 14 ships, eight of which were completely destroyed. The researchers relied on open sources. The following Ukrainian and Russian maritime drones came to the attention of the researchers: "Mykola, Magura V5, Mamai, Sea Baby, TOLOKA TLK-150, Marichka, all made in Ukraine, and the only known Russian maritime drone, Oduvanchik.
It was also mentioned that the Commander of the Ukrainian Navy Oleksiy Neizhpapa called on Ukrainians to stay away from the occupiers' military facilities as much as possible.
