Over 1000 days of war in Mykolaiv region, air raids lasted three thousand hours

During the 1000 days of the war, almost three thousand air raids were recorded in Mykolaiv region. The longest alarm sounded for ten hours in a row.
This is evidenced by data from the portal AirAlarms.
November 19, 2024 marks 1000 days since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. During this time, 2864 air alerts were recorded in Mykolaiv region.
The total duration of air alerts in the region amounted to 3002 hours and 30 minutes, which is more than 125 days of continuous threat. On average, one alert in Mykolaiv region lasted 1 hour, 2 minutes and 54 seconds.
The longest alert in the region was recorded on August 20, 2024: it began at 22:40 due to a drone attack and ended only at 08:34 the next morning, lasting almost 10 hours.
The record for the longest air alert was set in Kharkiv region, where on July 27, 2024, the alert lasted more than 50 hours, or more than two days.
During the summer, air alerts were declared 328 times in Mykolaiv region. As of September 1, 2024, the air alert was declared 2643 times in Mykolaiv region. Thus, 126 alarms were sounded in June, 115 alarms in July, and 87 alarms in August. The average duration since February 24, 2022 is one hour and one minute.
After Mykolaiv and the region, the largest number of explosions was recorded in Ochakiv, Voznesensk and Snihurivka. Ochakiv remains the first city in terms of the number of threats of shelling.
There are also plans to create 56 automated local warning systems in Mykolaiv region. Two of these systems are already in operation, and local governments have already developed terms of reference for more than thirty systems. There are 307 sirens, 192 loudspeakers and 4 radio stations in the region to notify the public of threats.
