On August 21, one civilian was killed and 11 wounded in the Kherson territorial community as a result of shelling and drone strikes by the Russian occupation army.

This was reported by the head of the Kherson MVA Roman Mrochko.

The official said in a post that 2 multi-storey buildings, private houses, a church, 4 outbuildings, a tractor, a car, a water supply section and a power line were damaged. As a result of shelling by the Russian occupation forces, a woman of 84 years old sustained an explosive injury incompatible with life. Among the wounded are 8 men aged 27, 31, 42, 54, 55, 57, 65, 74 and three women - two 54-year-olds and a 72-year-old.

In addition, according to the prosecutor's office, on August 21 at about 7:50 a.m., the occupiers fired on the village of Komyshany. As a result, a 74-year-old man and a 72-year-old woman were taken to the hospital with injuries. Both were outside at the time of the Russian attack. At 10:20 a.m., the Russian military dropped explosives from a UAV on a street in Antonivka. Two employees of a critical infrastructure enterprise who were on the street received injuries of varying degrees. They were also taken to the hospital. At about 14:35, Russian troops attacked Antonivka again. They dropped explosives from a UAV on the territory of a household. An 84-year-old woman sustained life-threatening injuries in her yard. Also, Kindiivka was shelled by drones. Two men aged 52 and 66 were wounded.

According to Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, on August 21, one civilian was killed and 18 were wounded in the right bank of Kherson region as a result of the occupants' attacks.

According to him, Tomyna Balka, Komyshany, Antonivka, Novoberislav, Mykilske, Novodmitrivka, Tokarivka, Beryslav, Zolota Balka, Kizomys, Velyletenske, Novovorontsovka, Sadove, Prydniprovske, Bilozerka, Pryozerne, Poniativka, Shlyakhove, Krasny Mayak, Vysoke, Novooleksandrivka, Vesele, Olhivka, Burgunka and the city of Kherson came under enemy fire and air strikes. During the shelling of the region, the occupiers hit critical infrastructure facilities, a shopping center, educational and medical institutions, churches, administrative buildings and a catering facility; residential areas of the region's settlements, including seven high-rise buildings and 36 private houses. The occupiers also damaged a water supply system, outbuildings, a garage, private cars and agricultural machinery.
