On October 16, 2024, Russian occupation forces shelled settlements in the Kherson region.
This was reported by the press service of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office.
The post says that the occupiers used artillery, tanks and drones, including FPV.
As of 17:00, two people were reported injured in the shelling. Thus, at 10:00 a 56-year-old man was hospitalized in Kherson in moderate condition. He was injured due to the explosion of a shell dropped by Russians from a drone. In the village of Zmiivka, Beryslav district, around 13:00, a 55-year-old woman was wounded under similar circumstances. Medics treated her on the spot.

According to Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Tyahynka, Mykhailivka, Stanislav, Sofiyivka, Beryslav, Novokaira, Komyshany, Velytenske, Havrylivka, Bilozerka, Osokorivka, Chervonyi Mayak, Shlyakhove, Burgunka, Sadove, Antonivka, Prydniprovske, Inzhenerne, Zmiivka and the city of Kherson came under enemy fire and air strikes in the Kherson region yesterday.
He added that during the shelling of the region, the occupants hit residential areas of the region's settlements, in particular, five high-rise buildings and 10 private houses were damaged. The occupiers also damaged a service station and private cars. Six civilians in the right-bank part of Kherson region were injured as a result of Russian aggression that day.
Earlier it was reported that on October 14, 2024, the Russian military sent an FPV drone at a civilian car with five people in it near one of the settlements of the Beryslav district. As a result of the attack, two women, aged 72 and 56, sustained life-threatening injuries. A 72-year-old man and a 63-year-old woman were wounded. The driver was not injured.
