Last night, on September 2, the occupants attacked the suburbs of Kherson, and a residential building caught fire as a result of an enemy shell hit.

According to the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Kherson region, firefighters quickly extinguished the fire in a small area.

The post also says that in total, during the day, fire and rescue units of the Kherson region, together with local fire brigades, extinguished 21 fires, four of which were caused by enemy shelling. In particular, 15 fires were extinguished in open areas with a total area of 22.26 hectares. Thus, yesterday afternoon, the occupants attacked one of Kherson's neighborhoods. The roof of a residential building caught fire. While extinguishing the fire, firefighters had to move to a safe place due to the activity of enemy UAVs. Despite all the threats, the fire was extinguished.

The day before, rescuers in Kherson region extinguished nine fires not related to enemy shelling. Outbuildings, a residential building, a summer kitchen and dead wood on a total area of 11.4 hectares were on fire. The causes of the fires are under investigation.

Earlier it was reported that on the night of August 30, the occupants attacked Kherson and its suburbs. Three residential buildings caught fire as a result of enemy ammunition. Firefighters quickly eliminated the fires. The day before, rescuers found the bodies of two dead men and women in one of the rooms of a residential building.

Kherson rescuers also helped to free an elderly woman who was blocked in the house due to Russian shelling. A residential building in the central part of Kherson was damaged by enemy shelling. As it turned out, an elderly woman was trapped inside. Rescuers arrived at the scene, dismantled the damaged structures and brought the owner out into the yard. The woman refused medical assistance.
