Occupants' assistant from Kherson region gets prison term

The so-called "director" of a culture and leisure center in Novotroitsk, Kherson region, was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
This was reported by the press service of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office.
The post says that a local resident was found guilty of collaboration (Part 5 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) for supporting the public prosecution of the prosecutors of the Genichesk District Prosecutor's Office. The court sentenced her to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property. She was also deprived of the right to hold positions or engage in activities related to the performance of organizational, administrative or administrative and economic functions for a period of 15 years.

The court proved that in the summer of 2022, the convicted woman, while in the temporarily occupied territory of Novotroitsk, collaborated with the enemy. She became the "director" of a seized local culture and leisure center. The woman performed organizational, administrative and economic functions, participated in numerous propaganda activities of the occupiers.
The special pre-trial investigation was conducted by the SBU investigators in Kherson region.
Earlier it was reported that a local resident was suspected of persuading residents of Burhunka in Kherson region to "vote" for joining Russia. According to the investigation, the 66-year-old suspect voluntarily joined an illegitimate "precinct election commission" that operated on the territory of Burgunka, Beryslav district. The woman took part in the organization and conduct of a pseudo-referendum organized by the occupation authorities, which took place in September 2022.
It was also said that the "head" of the occupation administration of Novosofiyivka would be tried in Kherson region. The investigation established that in August 2022, the accused cooperated with the occupiers and agreed to become the "head" of the so-called "Novosofiyivka settlement of the Holoprystan municipal district of the Kherson region".
