Thanks to the SBU's evidence base, a resident of the village of Mylove, Beryslav district, Kherson region, Lina Danilets, was sentenced for collaboration.

According to the press service of the agency, it was established that in September 2022, the woman took part in organizing and conducting a pseudo-referendum on the "accession" of the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson region to Russia.

The post says that while in the ranks of the occupation "election committee," the enemy accomplice agitated her fellow villagers to take part in the fake plebiscite. She compiled preliminary lists of "voters" and prepared the appropriate forms for "voting". During the illegal expression of will, the collaborator, together with the Russian military, visited the homes of local residents. Intimidating with the "basement", she forced people to put the "right" mark in the fake ballots in favor of the aggressor country. For her "work", the traitor received a monetary "reward" in Russian rubles from the occupiers.

It is noted that after the liberation of the right bank of the Kherson region, the convict tried to hide from justice by changing her place of residence. However, SBU officers exposed and detained her.

Based on the SBU materials, the court found Ms. Danilets guilty under Part 2 of Art. 28, Part 5 of Art. 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (collaboration). Taking into account her cooperation with the investigation, the court sentenced her to 5 years in prison with disqualification to hold positions in state authorities, public administration, local self-government or public service bodies for a period of 10 years.

The pre-trial investigation was conducted by the SBU in Kherson region under the supervision of the regional prosecutor's office.
