The occupiers have changed the tactics of shelling in Mykolaiv region, shifting their attacks to new communities and facilities. Currently, the enemy is also striking at communities where there have been fewer attacks.
This was reported by Vitaliy Kim, the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, during the telethon of the United News.
According to Vitaliy Kim, the enemy has started using missiles and drones to attack areas that were not shelled so often before. Thus, in addition to the daily shelling of Ochakivska and Kutsurubska communities, attacks are now directed at Bashtanska, Mykolaivska and Snihurivska communities. In addition, Mykolaiv and its neighborhoods are also suffering.
According to the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, the main target of the shelling is critical infrastructure to leave the region without electricity and heat. He also added that due to poor intelligence, the enemy often hits farms and other civilian objects.
First, they target critical infrastructure to deprive us of electricity and heat. Secondly, they try to hit military targets, but due to poor intelligence, they often hit farmland," said Vitaly Kim.
"In addition, the enemy has recently focused on shelling warehouses, suspecting that there may be military facilities there. As Vitaliy Kim noted, the occupiers once hit a warehouse with alcohol because they simply shell large warehouses, hoping that something important might be there.
In September, there were more such hits in the region. For example, on October 12, the occupiers shelled Mykolaiv region with drones. A fire broke out on a farm in the Snihurivska community as a result of an enemy drone hit.
On October 9, the enemy attacked an infrastructure facility on the outskirts of Mykolaiv, damaging warehouse buildings. In addition, shelling damaged two houses in the village of Solonchaky, and three residential buildings, a power line, a gas pipeline, outbuildings, an abandoned children's institution, and three vehicles in Dmytrivka.
On September 29, an educational institution was damaged in the Shevchenkivska community, and on September 24, shrapnel damaged an outbuilding that was not in use. On September 21, the enemy attacked the Kutsurubska community six times with FPV drones. As a result, a private house, outbuildings, a garage and a car were damaged in the village of Dmytrivka. In the village of Parutino, a fire broke out on the roof of the Palace of Culture.
Earlier, Ukraine set a date for the completion of the peace plan for the Second Peace Summit, which is scheduled for November 2024. On June 15-16, the Global Peace Summit was held in the Swiss resort town of Burgenstock. Summit participants developed a joint Communiqué, which took into account Ukraine's vision of a just peace and was signed by more than 90 countries.
