The Mykolaiv marines, who recently returned from Russian captivity, were visited by command officers. They handed over aid and coordinated further actions.
This was reported by the press service of the 36th Separate Marine Brigade named after Rear Admiral Mykhailo Bilynskyi.
Officers of the Navy Command, the Marine Corps and the 36th Marine Brigade visited the marines who recently returned from Russian captivity. They are currently undergoing rehabilitation.
During the meeting, the most pressing issues of their recovery were discussed with the servicemen, and information was provided on further support steps and opportunities for each of them.
In addition to moral support, the marines received valuable gifts and necessary items. In particular, backpacks collected by the Mykolaiv community. This gesture of gratitude and care has become a symbol of unity between civilians and the military, as well as hope for a speedy recovery of the heroes who bravely fought for Ukraine.
The Mykolaiv community handed over the backpacks for the marines released from captivity in early September. The 100 backpacks contain everything they need for the first time: hygiene products, clothes, and goodies. The initiative of the city council was implemented with the help of the Stalevy Charitable Foundation and local businesses.
On September 14, another prisoner exchange took place and 103 soldiers who had been captured by the occupiers returned home. Among them are 17 marines from the Mykolaiv brigade. All of them were captured during the defense of Mariupol. The command of the 36th Separate Marine Brigade met and congratulated their comrades on their return to free Ukrainian land. The soldiers will undergo medical treatment and rehabilitation.
Recently, Mykolaiv Marines released a documentary film, Armor, dedicated to the combat work of tankers on the front line. The unique feature of the story is its realistic depiction of combat operations: the viewer can see all the key stages, from preparation to deployment to the mission to the actual combat operations.
In August, a brigade of Mykolaiv marines was solemnly awarded by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel General Oleksandr Syrsky, for courage and bravery on the battlefield.
The 36th Separate Marine Brigade named after Rear Admiral Mykhailo Bilynskyi is an important part of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' marines. It was formed as part of the reform of the military forces after 2014 and named in honor of the prominent Ukrainian military figure Mykhailo Bilynskyi.
