Military reveal what came under rocket attack in Odesa region

In the evening of October 30, Russian troops launched a massive missile attack on Odesa region.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, the enemy attacked the bridge across the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi estuary in Zatoka, Odesa region.

"Two Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles were fired from Crimea and eight X-59/69 guided missiles from tactical aircraft over the Black Sea," the statement said.

The military noted that two guided missiles were destroyed.

Earlier, the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper, said that the enemy had fired about ten missiles of various types at Odesa region. All relevant services were working in the city. There was no information about casualties or injuries.

The air alert in Odesa region was announced at 19:21. Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov reported a reconnaissance drone over the city. Subsequently, the Ukrainian Air Force warned of a missile threat in the direction of Odesa and the region, including Zatoka. At around 19:57, explosions were heard in Odesa and the region.

The Air Force also reported a group of missiles moving from the south along the Black Sea towards Zatoka-Odesa and one missile from the southwest aimed at Odesa. Mayor Gennadiy Trukhanov reported the risk of a ballistic attack from the occupied Crimea. The ceasefire was lifted at 20:20.

In the afternoon of October 29, Russians attacked the region with two X-31P guided missiles that did not reach their targets. The missiles were launched by a Russian Su-30 fighter jet from the Black Sea. A fragment of one of the missiles shot down over the coast of Odesa region hit a 71-year-old man and killed him.

On the morning of October 27, employees of the Khadzhybey district administration inspected the homes of Odesa residents who suffered as a result of the missile attack on Odesa. The blast wave damaged one educational institution and 21 households.

Following the air raid alert, an explosion occurred in Odesa on the evening of October 26, after which citizens began posting photos of a fire on social media, indicating that it was burning in the Zastava II area. The Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in Odesa Oblast confirmed that a large-scale fire was raging in the city. According to the State Emergency Service, a warehouse was on fire.
