Late in the evening of December 20, the Russian occupation army attacked an oncology clinic in Kherson using two guided aerial bombs.

According to the Ministry of Health, the building was heavily damaged. However, patients and medical workers were in the shelter and were not injured.

The Kherson MVA added that after the Russian airstrike on the regional oncology center, rumors about an increase in the radiation background in Kherson began to spread on social media. In particular, they say that the source of radiation is the damaged equipment of the medical institution.

"The only truth here is that there was an air strike - Russian terrorists hit the oncology center with two CABs," the post says.

As for fears of radiation, there are no grounds for them. According to the Kherson Regional Center for Hydrometeorology, the radiation background level in the city is 12-13 µR/h, which is normal. Additionally, civil defense specialists of the Kherson City Military Administration took measurements on the streets of the city. The radiation background remains stable and safe.
