In the morning, employees of the Khadzhibey district administration inspected the homes of Odesa residents who suffered as a result of the missile attack on Odesa on October 26.
This was reported by the press service of the Odesa City Council.
According to preliminary information, the blast wave damaged one educational institution and 21 households. Residents were explained the procedure for receiving material assistance from the city budget to restore windows and doors, and the relevant acts are being drawn up.
Following the air raid alert, an explosion occurred in Odesa on the evening of October 26, after which citizens began posting photos of the fire on social media, indicating that it was burning in the Zastava II area. The Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in Odesa Oblast confirmed that a large-scale fire was raging in the city. According to the SES, a warehouse was on fire. By the time fire and rescue units arrived, the flames had engulfed the entire building. It took rescuers almost nine hours to extinguish the fire over an area of 1,500 square meters.
Fortunately, no one was injured.
On October 20, rescuers also extinguished a fire after an air raid alert. However, at the time, the head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, Oleh Kiper, commented on the explosions and smoke plumes observed by Odesa residents, saying that a fire had started as a result of an evening missile attack on Odesa's port infrastructure, with no injuries or deaths. Also, due to the fall of rocket fragments in Odesa district, dry grass and an abandoned building caught fire, no one was injured. The fires were extinguished by rescuers.
After the missile attack, the Russians struck with drones, which were destroyed by air defense forces.
It should be noted that after the explosion in the city, some social networks published photos of a column of smoke and a fireworks display and claimed that this was the site of the hit.
