Yesterday, Kherson region was again attacked by Russian troops. Residential areas and social infrastructure of 27 settlements, including the city of Kherson, came under enemy fire and air strikes.
This was reported by the press service of the Kherson Regional Military Administration.
The following communities were hit: Antonivka, Komyshany, Molodizhne, Zelenivka, Ivanivka, Tokarivka, Inzhenerne, Bilozerka, Kizomys, Honcharne, Shyroka Balka, Tomyna Balka, Tyahynka, Virivka, Novovorontsovka, Karerne, Mykolaivka, Mykhailivka, Olhivka, Zolota Balka, Lvov, Respublika, Monastyrske, Zmiivka, Vesele, and Kozatske.
Two civilians were injured as a result of the shelling. They were provided with medical assistance. Russian aggression continues to bring pain and destruction to Ukrainian soil.
The enemy deliberately attacks civilian infrastructure, showing disregard for the lives of civilians. All the facts of shelling will be documented so that the perpetrators are brought to justice.
Last week, the Ukrainian Defense Forces thwarted the plans of the Russian occupiers to land sabotage and reconnaissance groups near Kherson in the right-bank part of Kherson region. On that day, Kherson suffered the largest shelling since 2022. The explosions did not stop from four in the morning. Russian troops fired from all types of weapons available to them, firing more than 1,000 shells. There is not a single neighborhood that was not affected.
Most of the strikes hit residential areas. Rescuers extinguished more than a dozen fires. Medics, law enforcement and utility workers were on the scene.
At the same time, pro-Russian telegram channels were actively spreading fake reports about the alleged forced evacuation of Kherson residents. However, this information was untrue and aimed at creating panic among the population.
The head of Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration Vitaliy Kim assured of his readiness to help Kherson residents if necessary.
