The so-called "head" of the occupation administration of Henichesk in Kherson region was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
This was reported by the press service of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office.
The statement says that following a public prosecution by prosecutors of the Kherson Regional and Genichesk District Prosecutor's Offices, the court found the resident of the region guilty of collaboration (Part 5 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). She was sentenced to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property. She was also deprived of the right to hold positions in state authorities, management and local self-government for a period of 15 years.
Thus, prosecutors proved in court that in August 2022, the convicted woman cooperated with the enemy and voluntarily headed the illegally created "Genichesk Military-Civilian Administration of Kherson Region". In her pseudo-position, the woman performed organizational, administrative and economic functions: organized the work of the occupation administration, appointed and dismissed employees, established interaction with the occupation authorities, pseudo-law enforcement agencies and the armed forces of the Russian Federation, etc.
The special pre-trial investigation was conducted by investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine in Kherson region.
Earlier it was reported that the prosecutors of the Kherson Regional and Skadovsk District Prosecutor's Offices sent to court an indictment against a local resident on the facts of voluntary election to an illegal authority (Part 1 of Article 28, Part 5 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The investigation established that in September 2023, the accused took part in illegal elections to the "council of deputies of the Skadovsk municipal district" from the United Russia political party. As a result of the "expression of will", he received a "mandate of deputy of the first convocation".
