Yesterday, on October 17, Kizomys, Sadove, Prydniprovske, Bilozerka, Oleksandrivka, Shyroka Balka, Stanislav, Beryslav, Odradokamyanka, Novovorontsovka, Novoraysk and the city of Kherson came under enemy fire and air strikes by the Russian occupation army in Kherson region.
This was announced by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Prokudin.
The official said that during the shelling of the right-bank part of the Kherson region, the Russian occupiers hit a coffee shop and a commercial establishment; residential areas of the region's settlements, including a high-rise building and two private houses. The occupiers also damaged a gas pipeline, an outbuilding and private cars.

According to Prokudin, three civilians were injured that day as a result of Russian aggression. Thus, according to the press service of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, on October 17, 2024, the Russian occupiers fired artillery and mortar weapons at Kherson and settlements of the region, as well as attacked with various types of UAVs. As of 17:00, two civilians were reported injured as a result of enemy shelling. Thus, at 4:30 am, Russians shelled Kherson with artillery. A 69-year-old woman was hospitalized in serious condition. At about 8:30 a.m. in Kherson, the occupiers dropped explosives from a drone. As a result, a 42-year-old man was injured, his condition also required hospitalization.
It is noted that apartment and private residential buildings, infrastructure facilities, a catering facility, a trade kiosk and vehicles were also damaged.
Earlier it was reported that on October 16, the occupiers used artillery, tanks and drones, including FPV. As of 17:00 on that day, two people were also reported injured as a result of shelling. Thus, in Kherson at 10:00 a 56-year-old man was hospitalized in a moderate condition. He was injured due to the explosion of a shell dropped by Russians from a drone. In the village of Zmiivka, Beryslav district, around 13:00, a 55-year-old woman was wounded under similar circumstances. Medics treated her on the spot.
