Over the past day, rescuers in Kherson region were twice involved in extinguishing fires in natural ecosystems, one of which was due to enemy shelling.
This was reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kherson region.
The post says that firefighters promptly arrived at the scene of the fires and extinguished them. The total area of fire was 1 hectare.
Also, on October 7 in the morning, the Russian occupation army carried out an air strike on one of the city's districts. A building of an educational institution was partially destroyed by guided bombs and a fire broke out. The shock wave damaged a multi-storey residential building, trapping two people in one of the apartments. Firefighters extinguished the fire despite the risk of repeated shelling and the work of enemy reconnaissance drones and unblocked the people from the apartment.

Earlier it was reported that on October 4 in the morning Kherson rescuers received a report that a traffic accident involving two cars had occurred in one of the city's neighborhoods. One of the cars was flipped on its roof as a result of the impact, and there were people inside. It is noted that the rescuers who arrived at the scene took three victims out of the car and handed them over to medical workers. The car was turned over and the power was cut off to prevent a fire.
Also on October 1, Antonivka, a suburb of Kherson, once again suffered from enemy shelling. During the day, Kherson rescuers went to extinguish fires in residential buildings at different addresses three times. The press service noted that the enemy obstructed the work of firefighters by repeatedly shelling, but despite all the threats, the fires were extinguished.
