A brigade of Mykolaiv marines was solemnly awarded by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel General Oleksandr Syrskyi, for courage and bravery on the battlefield.

This was reported by the press service of the 36th Separate Marine Brigade named after Rear Admiral Mykhailo Bilynskyi.

Noting their role in the defense of strategic borders, Syrsky presented the marines with honorary badges symbolizing their contribution to strengthening Ukraine's defense.

The awardceremony was held in a solemn atmosphere, where the servicemen were recognized for their service. The official part was followed by a traditional exchange of koinas between the black battalion commander and the Commander-in-Chief.

At the end of the event, the brigade flag was presented.

The 36th Separate Marine Brigade named after Rear Admiral Mykhailo Bilynskyi is an important part of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' marines. It was formed as part of the reform of the military forces after 2014 and named in honor of the prominent Ukrainian military figure Mykhailo Bilynskyi.
