It is proved that in May 2022 in Henichesk, the convict took part in a Victory Day parade organized by the occupation authorities, during which he demonstrated a communist flag. Subsequently, he posted a video on his social media page promoting the communist totalitarian regime and depicting communist symbols.

The special pre-trial investigation was conducted by investigators of the National Police in Kherson region.

Earlier it was reported that a resident of the Kherson region was suspected for publicly justifying Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine. According to the investigation, in August 2022, the suspect, being in the then-occupied Bilozerka, took part in the celebration of the so-called "Russian Flag Day", which was celebrated in the central square. During the event, the woman gave an interview to journalists controlled by the occupation authorities, in which she justified and recognized the temporary occupation of part of Ukraine as legitimate, and expressed her support for the aggressor country.

A Kherson resident who called for changing the borders of Ukraine on the radio will also be tried. The investigation established that the accused, identified as a local entrepreneur, gave an interview to journalists of a seized local radio station in September 2022, which the occupiers used as a platform for spreading pro-Russian narratives. During the conversation, the man supported the Russian occupation of the region and emphasized the need to participate in a pseudo-referendum on the accession of Kherson region to the aggressor country.
