The largest "Kremlin mouthpiece" on the occupied peninsula has been sentenced to twelve years in prison with confiscation of property.
This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol.
The post says that the general director of the occupation media holding "Television and Radio Company Crimea" was sentenced to 12 years in prison following a public prosecution by the autonomy' s prosecutor 's office. He was found guilty of collaborative activity (Part 6 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine (Part 1 of Article 110 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), justification, recognition as lawful, denial of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, glorification of its participants (Part 3 of Article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and committing actions aimed at forcible change or overthrow of the constitutional order or seizure of state power (Part 3 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Thus, the prosecutors of the autonomy proved in court that the convicted immediately after the occupation of the peninsula by the Russian military began working for the enemy. He held various positions in the media and the occupation administration, including editor-in-chief of the First Crimean TV channel, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications of Crimea, etc.
It is noted that in April 2020, the convict voluntarily took the position of General Director of the occupation "ANO "TV and Radio Company Crimea", which includes 16 pro-Russian media, such as the largest "Kremlin mouthpieces" of the temporarily occupied peninsula "First Crimean" and "Crimea 24". In his position, the "media man" is actively involved in conducting information and political activities to support Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine, conducts propaganda activities and promotes Russian narratives, thus influencing the minds of residents of the occupied territories.
In addition, the convict uses his own social media account to disseminate materials calling for a violent change in the constitutional order established in Ukraine and changing the boundaries of its state border.
The forensic linguistic examination confirmed that the convict's statements contained justifications and denials of Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine, actions and dissemination of ideas aimed at changing the boundaries of the territory and state border, as well as support for the decisions and actions of the aggressor state.
