4 local officials killed in Kherson, 6 more injured

Since the beginning of the de-occupation in Kherson, four representatives of local government have been killed and six others injured.

This was reported by the press service of the Kherson City Council.

They noted that these tragic incidents occurred in the line of duty, when people risked their lives for the sake of the community. After all, working in local government in the frontline Kherson region is a great danger.

"Our starostas stay with the residents of their districts to the last, no matter how many of them there are. They bring humanitarian aid, generators, gas cylinders, drinking water, and evacuate their fellow countrymen from under fire. Antonivka starosta Serhiy Ivashchenko has repeatedly suffered shark injuries, and Sadivka starosta Olena Semenikhina has been disabled by Russian aggression," the statement said.

On December 7, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy awarded Kherson regional government officials with state awards.

Kherson region is under fire from Russian occupiers every day. Most of the victims of the attacks are local residents.

Yesterday, on December 6, the enemy launched three rocket attacks on Beryslav district. As a result of Russian aggression, 16 people were wounded, including 1 child.

Prior to that, Russian troops damaged gas pipelines, household buildings and private cars. As a result of Russian aggression, 2 people were killed and 10 others were injured.

Earlier, the occupying army shelled residential areas of the region's settlements, damaging two buses and a private car. As a result of Russian aggression, 3 people were killed and 13 others were injured.

The occupiers also attacked another bus in the village of Inzhenerne , Kherson district, with a drone. Two people were injured.‍
