An indictment against one of the gauleiter in Kherson region is sent to court

Prosecutors of the Kherson Regional and Beryslav District Prosecutor's Offices have sent to court an indictment against a local resident on the fact of collaboration (Part 5 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

This was reported by the press service of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office.

The investigation established that the accused voluntarily cooperated with the enemy during the temporary occupation of Beryslav district. He took up the position of the so-called "head of the village of Tryfonivka".

The man formed the apparatus of the occupation administration, collected and compiled lists of vulnerable people, which he passed on to representatives of the occupation authorities of the district. He implemented the occupation policy in various spheres of life of the local population, made payments in rubles.

The special pre-trial investigation was conducted by the SBU Office in Kherson region.

In addition, under the procedural supervision of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, indictments were submitted to the court against five former employees of a penal colony and one employee of a pre-trial detention center on the fact of high treason committed under martial law (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The investigation established that the defendants, being in the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson region, voluntarily agreed to take positions in illegally created law enforcement agencies that were part of the "federal penitentiary service" of Russia and acted under the laws of the aggressor country.

It is also known that the prosecutors of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office sent to court an indictment against a 43-year-old resident of the Beryslav district on the fact of purchasing, storing and selling firearms, ammunition, as well as illegal acquisition and storage of drugs without the purpose of sale (Part 1 of Article 263, Part 1 of Article 309 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The investigation established that the defendant illegally purchased weapons and ammunition, which he stored at his place of residence with the intention of selling them.

As part of the pre-trial investigation, in February 2023, law enforcement officers documented the sale of two grenade launchers, grenades, an AK-47 rifle and more than 100 rounds of ammunition.

As a result of searches at the suspect's residence, law enforcement officers seized another F-1 hand grenade and 60 military rounds of ammunition, as well as a package of cannabis.

The man is currently in custody, where he will await a court verdict.

In addition, under the procedural supervision of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, the former head of the academic lyceum at the state university was served in absentia a notice of suspicion of collaboration and aiding the aggressor state (Part 3 of Art. 111-1, 1 of Art. 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, in June 2022, with the support of representatives of the occupation authorities, the suspect took the position of the so-called "rector" of Kherson State University.

In her pseudo-position, the woman performed organizational, administrative and economic functions.
