Eight players have left the "Chornomorets" soccer club

The "Chornomorets" soccer club has decided not to renew the contracts of eight players whose contracts are set to expire.
This was reported by the club’s press office.
The following players are leaving the team:

- Oleksandr Sklyar
- Vladislav Kulach
- Oleksandr Kaplienko
- Yuriy Romanyuk
- Maksym Lunov
- Artem Gabelok
FC Chornomorets thanked the players for their professionalism, hard work, dedication to the game, and time. In early June, Odesa’s “Chornomorets” defeated Kharkiv’s “Metalist” at its home stadium and returned to the Premier League.
FC Chornomorets Odesa isa Ukrainian soccer club based in Odesa; its official founding date is considered to be 1936, making it the city’s oldest professional soccer club. Throughout its history, the club has also gone by other names: “Dynamo” (1936–1939), “Kharchovyk” (1940, 1944–1950, 1955–1957), "Spartak" (1941), and "Metallurg" (1955–1957). Since 1958, the soccer club has been known as "Chornomorets," the name it has retained to this day.
In March, the Odesa soccer club Chornomorets celebrated its 90th anniversary, and in January,Roman Hryhorchukofficially took over as the club’s head. He promised to give it his all and, together with the fans, restore the atmosphere of exciting and high-scoring soccer at the Odesa stadium.
In early 2025,Roman Hryhorchuk,who had previously coached the “Sailors” twice, took the helm of the Cherkasy club. His coaching staff at the timeincluded Mykhailo Savka, Andriy Glushchenko, and Serhiy Politylo, who had also worked at the Odesa club.
Prior to this, the Odessa-based Chornomorets Football Club announced the end of its collaboration with head coachOleksandr Kucher. The contract was terminated by mutual agreement. He took over the team in March 2025, when the club simultaneously promoted former head coachOleksandr Babychto the position of sporting director and introduced the new head coach—42-year-old Kucher.
