Odesa's "Chornomorets" defeated Kryvyi Rih's "Kryvbas" in a Ukrainian Premier League Matchday 4 game. The match in Odesa ended with a score of 1–0.

According toSport.ua, Vitaliy Faraseyenko scored the only goal of the match in the 77th minute. The midfielder, who came on as a substitute in the second half, received a pass from Kirill Popov, cut inside toward the center, and fired a powerful shot into the far corner.

Prior to that, both teams had chances at either end, but neither managed to score in the first half. After the break, the game saw fewer exciting moments. Giovani had the best chance for Kryvbas to open the scoring—after a mistake by the Chornomorets goalkeeper, he shot at an empty net but missed.

After the goal, the Odessa team maintained their lead. “Kryvbas” had a chance to salvage the match in stoppage time: rookie Santiago Cuiza took a shot from close range off a pass from Yaroslav Shevchenko, but Chornomorets goalkeeper Chizhoke Aniagbosu saved his team.

Thus, “Chornomorets” earned its first points in the league since returning to the UPL. For “Kryvbas,” this was their second loss of the season.

The match took place at Chornomorets Stadium without spectators. The Odessa team’s home stadium remains damaged as a result of Russian attacks.
