Balta Sports Club Wins Ukrainian Cup 2024-2025 in Volleyball Final

On February 16, the volleyball team of the Balta sports club met with the Bukovyna volleyball team in the final match of the Ukrainian Cup and won in three sets.

Thus, the team won the Ukrainian Cup for the 2024-2025 season, volleyball.ua reports.

The most productive player in the final match was the Baltics' outside hitter Irina Nogina (17 points). She also received the MVP (Most Valuable Player) award.

The starting lineup of VC Bukovynka: Parfenova (scored 3 points), Dziuba (16), Gerasymchuk (8), Fedchuk (3), Pavlyk (1), Luchko (6), Nemtseva (l). Substitutes: Onishchenko (9), Lisova (3), Cherkashyna (2). Head coach: Gary Egiazarov.

SC Balta starting lineup: Kucher (scored 4 points), Politanska (4), Nogina (17), Ratiy (10), Strelbytska (13), Kirichenko (5), Vasilieva (l). Substitutes: Makarova (0). Head coach: Andriy Romanovych.

The team from Balta won the trophy for the first time.

On February 15-16, the final matches of the Women's Volleyball Cup of Ukraine of the 2024-2025 season took place in Chernivtsi, at the Little Paris Sports Complex.

Earlier, Mykolaiv Basketball Club won the home match of the Major League, securing third place in the standings.

Meanwhile, tennis player Diana Yastremska, a native of Odesa, failed to defeat Russian Ekaterina Alexandrova in the final of the WTA 500 tournament in Linz, Austria. It was the sixth meeting between the rivals. Diana lost the third head-to-head confrontation, so the rivals have an equal number of wins and losses - three each.

Meanwhile, little Oleksandra Paskal, who wears a prosthesis, became the star of the Rizatdinova Cup gymnastics tournament. The girl lost her leg as a result of a Russian missile attack on Zatoka in Odesa region. The tournament was organized by world champion and Olympic medalist Anna Rizatdinova with the support of the Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation of Ukraine.
