Due to the heat and a sharp increase in water consumption, Voznesensk is once again implementing a schedule of temporary water supply restrictions. The new schedule took effect on July 27.

This was reported by the municipal utility “Voznesensk Water Supply.”

According to the utility, the restrictions are necessary to ensure the city has a sufficient supply of drinking water and to maintain the stable operation of the water supply system.

According to the schedule, water service will be temporarily suspended:

  • from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. — during the day;
  • from 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. — to refill drinking water reservoirs.

The utility company urged residents to stock up on water in advance and to be understanding of the temporary inconveniences.

Residents are also asked to use drinking water wisely and refrain from using it to water gardens, lawns, and personal plots. According to utility officials, this will help ensure a stable water supply for all community residents.

As Intent previously reported, the quality of tap water in Mykolaiv is nearly up to standard: deviations from drinking water standards were recorded for only one indicator. Experts continue to monitor the situation, noting that in all other respects, the water in the city’s networks meets the established requirements.

Previously, the Mykolaiv city government planned toextend the program toreimburse costs for repairing in-building networks through 2026. They decided to allocate over 116 million hryvnias for this purpose.

In addition, the city council decided to update the program to reimburse the costs of restoringin-building water supply, wastewater disposal, and heating networks for co-owners of apartment buildings. The program, which was in effect for 2023–2025, is to be extended into 2026.
