Public transportation has been temporarily restricted in Kherson due to the security situation.
This was announced by the head of Kherson MVA Yaroslav Shanko.
As of now, 28 vehicles, including 22 buses and 6 trolleybuses, are running on the city's routes. In total, there are 15 bus routes: #2, #3, #4, #5, #6, #7, #10, #14, #16, #17, #20, #33, #38, #47, and #48.
In addition, trolleybuses operate on three routes - No. 8, 11, and 12.
However, for safety reasons, local authorities have decided to reduce the time of operation of the transport. Today, both buses and trolleybuses will run only until 15:00.
Residents are urged to take the changes into account when planning their trips and, if possible, refrain from traveling around the city unless absolutely necessary.
As a reminder, two trolleybus routes in Kherson were temporarily suspended due to the effects of enemy shelling.
As previously reported by Intent, on March 12, Ukrzaliznytsia temporarily suspended train traffic on the Mykolaiv-Vantazhny - Bila Krynytsia route in Kherson region.
According to the Kherson Regional Military Administration, the resumption of flights or possible further changes in the schedule will be announced later.
It is noted that the Russian military is intensifying attacks on railway infrastructure, including rolling stock. In this regard, Ukrzaliznytsia is introducing additional security measures for passengers and employees.
In addition, due to the security situation, rail service on the Mykolaiv-Kherson section has been temporarily replaced by bus transportation.
A similar situation is observed in Zaporizhzhia, where connections to Dnipro are organized mainly by buses. Passengers are advised to follow the instructions of train crews, watch for announcements at train stations and activate push notifications in the Ukrzaliznytsia app to receive up-to-date information.
