A resident of the temporarily occupied Crimea was served a notice of suspicion in absence for working for the occupation authorities in Kherson region. It is about a man who headed the pseudo-ministry of transportation created by the Russians.
This was reported by the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office.
According to the investigation, in August 2023, by order of the so-called "governor" of Kherson region, a "Ministry of Transport and Transport Infrastructure Development" was created. A 44-year-old resident of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea was appointed "acting minister", and since October he has held the position without the prefix "acting".
The investigation established that the suspect organized the work of the pseudo-ministry: he distributed responsibilities among deputies, approved the regulations of structural units, appointed and dismissed employees. He also interacted with the so-called "Ministry of Finance" by providing funding.
The Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office emphasizes that his activities contributed to the establishment of the occupation regime in the occupied territory.
The man is charged with collaboration (Part 5 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The pre-trial investigation is being carried out by the Security Service of Ukraine in Kherson region.
As Intent previously wrote, the former secretary of the Oleshky City Council of the Kherson region, Viktor Syrota, was found guilty of collaborating with the Russian occupation administrations. The court sentenced him to nine years in prison with confiscation of property.
Also, law enforcement officers served a notice of suspicion to a resident of the temporarily occupied Crimea who headed the illegal administration of the occupiers in the village of Kozachi Lageri in Kherson region.
In addition, prosecutors of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office sent to court indictments against two residents of the region on the fact of voluntary election to illegal authorities.
Both defendants are actively involved in public activities aimed at creating a positive image of the illegal authorities. They participate in sessions and make decisions in favor of the aggressor state.
