Residents of Lviv have registered 14 Starlink devices to counter the occupiers' attacks in the Kherson region

In Lviv, the SBU exposed two men who, according to the investigation, registered 14 Starlink terminals for Russian military personnel. According to operational data, these satellite communication systems were used to plan combat operations, particularly in the Kherson region.
This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine.
According to the SBU, a student from Lviv, who was looking for “easy” money on Telegram channels, was recruited to work for Russian intelligence agencies. He later recruited an unemployed acquaintance to join the scheme.
Law enforcement officials claim that the suspects were looking for people whose passport information could be used to register satellite terminals. In total, they fraudulently recruited 14 people and used their documents to verify Starlink accounts for the benefit of the Russian side.
After activating the devices, the men provided their login credentials to a Russian coordinator in exchange for money.
According to operational data from the SBU, Russian armed groups used these terminals to plan combat operations in the Kherson, Donetsk, and Zaporizhzhia regions.
Law enforcement officers documented the activities of both suspects and detained them at their places of residence. During searches, they seized mobile phones that the suspects used to coordinate their actions with the Russian side.
The SBU reported that all 14 illegally registered Starlink terminals have been blocked. Information regarding the possible illegal registration of more than 40 additional terminals by the suspects is also being investigated.
The detainees were notified that they are suspected of aiding an aggressor state, committed by a group of individuals acting in prior conspiracy—Part 2 of Article 28 and Part 1 of Article 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The men are being held in custody without the right to bail. They face up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property.
