In Mykolaiv's Korabelnyi district, residents unauthorizedly interfered with the operation of an individual heating station. Such interference threatens to break down the equipment and may leave not only individual houses but the entire district without heating for a long time.

This was reported by the press service of Mykolaivoblteploenergo.

The utility company noted that such actions are prohibited by law - in accordance with the "Rules for the use of thermal energy" under the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

An individual heating point is a complex automated system configured separately for each building. Any external interference can disrupt the operation of the equipment and lead to its failure. The worst-case scenario is the lack of heat not only in a particular building but also in the entire district until the end of the heating season. According to the company, it takes 4 to 8 weeks to restore the IHS in case of damage.

Mykolaivoblteploenergo reminded that Ukraine is currently facing a difficult situation in the energy system. There are strict power outage schedules in place, and the operation of the IHS pumping equipment depends on the availability of power supply. That is, during scheduled outages, the heating stations cannot operate.

The company notes that it has no influence on the scheduling of outages, but is making every effort to minimize the consequences. Some of the buildings have already been equipped with generators and inverters to ensure uninterrupted heat supply, and these works are ongoing.

The PSC specialists remind that IHS is a high-tech equipment that requires professional maintenance. Unauthorized interference with the system is fraught not only with financial losses but also with a risk to the comfort and safety of residents. The company urges citizens to follow the rules for using heat energy and report any malfunctions only through official channels.

Last year, more than UAH 395 million was allocated for the installation of modern heating stations in Mykolaiv. This should improve heating efficiency and reduce energy costs for residents.
