Ivan Boshkov was detained on suspicion of obtaining an undue advantage by the Security Service of Ukraine as part of a case of fraud and obtaining an undue advantage on suspicion of taking a bribe.

According to the investigation, on January 29, the Reniiskyi District Court received materials to bring the driver to administrative responsibility and resolve the issue of tobacco products without excise tax stamps seized from him. During the conversation with the applicant, the judge offered to make a decision on the return of the seized property in exchange for an illegal benefit. He hinted at the transfer of funds in foreign currency (euros), noting that the applicant should be interested in it to avoid confiscation. The judge was detained while receiving EUR 800 and USD 300.
