A pilot digital project has been launched in Mykolaiv region to strengthen control over the quality of food in educational institutions. The main goal of the experiment is to transfer the monitoring of school canteens to a transparent online format, which will allow for prompt monitoring of compliance with sanitary norms and menu standards.

This was reported by Mykolaivshchyna Digital/OVA.

Thanks to the introduction of digital tools, information on the state of nutrition will be updated in real time. This will help not only to control the quality of products and the process of cooking, but also to provide quick feedback between school administrations, education authorities and the parent community.

This automation is expected to minimize the human factor and make school meals in the region safer and more balanced. Special working groups have already been formed to process the data and quickly resolve issues in accordance with current legislation.

The project is currently operating in a test mode in four selected schools in the region, where the speed of communication and the mechanics of filing appeals are being tested. The pilot period will last until May 19, 2026. After analyzing the results and improving the system, all educational institutions in Mykolaiv region that are ready to switch to the digital format of service quality monitoring will be able to join the initiative.

We also remind you that the Central District Court of Mykolaiv took into custody the director of Prosecco 8 LLC Iryna Stoyeva with an alternative to bail. She is suspected of violating sanitary standards and attempting to take possession of someone else's property.

According to the District Prosecutor's Office, Stoyeva is suspected of violating the rules and regulations for the prevention of infectious diseases (Part 1 of Article 325 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), as well as of an unfinished attempt to seize another's property. Under the totality of the charged articles, she could face up to 12 years in prison.

The prosecutor's office insisted on detention, pointing to the risks of the suspect hiding, destroying evidence and possible influence on witnesses. According to prosecutor Igor Ivanchenko, the case requires a number of examinations and the identification of the persons involved, and more lenient preventive measures are not able to ensure proper procedural behavior.
