The search for two fishermen has been going on for 11 days in Odesa region. The men disappeared after they went out into the Black Sea on a rubber boat on March 27.
This was reported to Suspilne by the press service of the National Police of Odesa Oblast.
According to law enforcement, so far, neither the boat, nor personal belongings, nor the missing men themselves have been found. Therefore, the search continues.
On the third day after the disappearance, the men's wives, Alina and Anna, said that the police were gradually expanding the search area. The relatives are appealing to all possible witnesses to provide any information that could help in the search.
It is known that on March 28, a resident of the Lyman community reported the disappearance of her 34-year-old husband and his 32-year-old friend to the police.
Law enforcement officers have previously established that on the night of March 27, both men went fishing in the Black Sea. They sailed away in a green rubber boat, probably a Kolibri, from the area between the settlements of Roseika and Lebedivka.
Local police officers, water police units and the Border Guard Service were involved in the search operation. All the circumstances of the disappearance are currently being established and an active search is underway.
In March, Oleksiy Khodakov, an associate professor at Odesa National Technological University, was found in the forest of the Turbat tract in Zakarpattia region. The scientist's body was found by another tourist and sent for examination. The scientist arrived on February 14 and started hiking from Dragobrat. He was well equipped. In addition, the route is popular and considered safe. The associate professor also had many years of experience in mountain travel.
His phone was later found in the village of Berezovo, which is located off the route. He last accessed the Internet in the evening of February 17.
