Odesa resident organizes mobilization evasion scheme in Mykolaiv

Law enforcement officers exposed a mobilization evasion scheme organized by a resident of Odesa and a citizen of Moldova.
This was reported by the Mykolaiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.
According to the investigation, they produced fictitious foreigner documents for Ukrainians liable for military service, which allowed them to avoid checks of military records and move freely across the territory of Ukraine.
The suspects charged USD 6 thousand for a package of forged documents. The package included passports of Romanian or Bulgarian citizens, foreign passports, and driver's licenses. The documents were made in Moldova and executed using details similar to the real ones.
Investigators found that the scheme used the personal data of real foreigners, and photos of Ukrainian men of military age were pasted into the documents. Communication with clients took place via messengers, and money was transferred during personal meetings.

Law enforcement officers documented the receipt of two parts of the bribe totaling $6,000. After handing over the documents, the suspects were detained.
During the searches, they seized forged documents, mobile phones and correspondence, which, according to the investigation, confirms the coordination of actions between the participants in the scheme.

The court imposed on the suspects a custodial detention without the right to be released on bail. The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the SBU Office in Mykolaiv region.
Recently, in Mykolaiv, a court imposed a pre-trial restraint on an instructor of the recruitment and staffing department suspected of a scheme to extort a bribe for "resolving an issue" with the TCC. According to the investigation, the man and his accomplice demanded $500 for removing a person liable for military service from the wanted list.
Earlier, the Korabelnyi District Court of Mykolaiv canceled the decision of the MCC to impose a fine of UAH 17 thousand on a person liable for military service who was accused of failing to update his military registration data.
Also, in Mykolaiv, the court extended the detention of a man suspected of administering a Telegram community where the workplaces of representatives of the TCC and mobilization groups were published. According to the investigation, the channel had more than 34 thousand members.
