On the territory of the Varvarovsk sewage treatment plant in Mykolaiv, facts of unauthorized use of the company's electricity for private purposes were discovered.
This was reported by Mykolaivvodokanal following an internal investigation conducted by the company's security directorate.
According to the company, electrical equipment for charging private vehicles was installed at the facility without permission. At the same time, there were no approvals or permits for the use of electricity for personal needs.
In addition, the audit revealed inadequate control by the unit's management over the use of the company's resources and compliance with labor discipline.
For the violations committed, the employees were subject to disciplinary sanctions in the form of reprimands. It was also decided to deprive them of their bonuses.
Mykolaivvodokanal emphasized that the use of the company's property, equipment, electricity and other resources for private purposes without official approval is strictly prohibited.
Following the incident, the heads of all structural units were instructed to conduct additional briefings and strengthen control over the use of the utility's property and resources.
Recently, the Mykolaivvodokanal utility company of the Mykolaiv City Council announced a change in the management structure and the reduction of some administrative and managerial positions. Instead, employees are offered to move to engineering and technical positions.
As a reminder, employees of Mykolaiv Vodokanal appealed to Mayor Oleksandr Senkevych demanding the dismissal of its director Gennadiy Izyumov.
Earlier, Mykolaiv announced a tender for the reconstruction of a sewer collector on Chkalova Street, with more than UAH 59 million to be spent on the work. The project envisages a complete replacement of worn-out networks and modernization of the infrastructure with a deadline of the end of 2026.
