Most suppliers of products for Crimean schools and kindergartens found to have violations

The occupiers have recognized the failure of the child nutrition system in Crimea. Reports from last year show that two-thirds of schools and kindergartens, as well as almost all food suppliers, ignore basic sanitary requirements. The situation in the region is officially called critical.

In 2025, the results of Rospotrebnadzor inspections in the occupied Crimea confirmed the critical state of catering in children's groups. The total rate of violations amounted to 65.4% of all checked cases, as officially reported by the local department of the agency. The most threatening situation is observed in the area of food distribution and supply . Out of 40 suppliers checked, 80% of them failed to comply with the established requirements and standards.
A similar level of abuse (80%) was recorded among caterers responsible for the direct preparation of food for kindergarten and school children. In secondary schools, the situation also remains difficult, as shortcomings in the organization of lunches were found in 43.8% of the 57 schools surveyed. General statistics show that out of 142 inspections conducted, 93 confirmed the existence of violations in the work of institutions and their contractors.
In addition to direct inspections, the occupation agency made almost a thousand preventive visits to schools and preschools. Laboratory tests conducted in the vast majority of cases revealed deficiencies at 79% of the facilities. In particular, the experts documented the unsatisfactory sanitary and technical condition of the canteens, the discrepancy between the actual diet and the approved menu, and violations of the commodity neighborhood during food storage. There were also significant complaints about the improper execution of the necessary documentation.
